Background:
Australian women’s fashion brand Leona Edmiston produces feminine, French-inspired dresses and accessories, known for their whimsical style and elegant designs. I wanted to create a brochure for the brand that would convey who they were, present their new collection, and create an experience for the reader.
The Problem:
Making sure that this fashion brochure stood out amongst a sea of fashion marketing was key, and the problem lay within making sure it stood out, keeping costs of production low, and also staying true to the brand.
The Solution
Inspired by the Parisian elements of Leona Edmiston’s designs, I started by creating hand-drawn illustrations that would fit nicely amongst the photography in the brochure. I decided on a whimsical door-fold brochure, aptly with illustrated doors to open it up and see the collection inside.
The charming illustrations bring forward the brand’s femininity and sense of fun, and the large gate invites the viewer to ‘step inside’ and see the new collection.
