Client: All Hallows’ School
Categories: Document Design, Reporting
Background:
Being a once-a-year publication that was accessible to school families as well as the general public, my team and I saw it the All Hallows’ Annual Report as not only a report, but an opportunity to stay strong to the All Hallows’ brand and present something visually beautiful.
The Problem:
The report was extremely content heavy, and had certain legal requirements that mandated it remain clear and legible. I knew I would have to weave the design into the report information, keep a flow moving through the document, and keep the reader engaged and feeling as though they had a sense of the All Hallows’ brand.
The Solution:
In my design for the All Hallows’ School Annual Report, the focus was on creating a flow throughout the document. I blended soft gradients with lightweight typefaces for an elegant look and feel that matched the School, with curved elements added to mimic the shape of the Brisbane River that surrounds the School grounds.
My Finance background came in handy, as I was able to ensure numerical data was kept clear and east to comprehend. Data was kept interesting to read by turning it into visually appealing infographics and tables, and large amounts of text that are typical of reports were broken up with imagery and design elements.
